You probably already know that I, at times, have problems with TV advertising. AARP, you know, the "old" folks gang has come out with advertising that rhymes. The dude in the ad is "rapping" without the music. First off - Are you trying to get people to join AARP by rapping? Second - I HATE rhyming things that aren't poems or songs. Third - What are we?
Kindergarteners?
Rhyme time by AARP
More on the rhyming thing...
I don't know if it's the dots on my brain, I'm turning into a curmudgeon OR both but certain things really, really bother me. One of the many things is rhyming, especially business slogans. Business slogans that don't rhyme don't bother me. WTH?
"Where Courtesy Dwells and Service Excels" btw, if you check out that link, it's for a funeral home but you have to look at the name of the cemetery. What do you think when you see that?
Yeah, after reading this I'm leaning towards curmudgeon.
We are leaving next Thursday, can't wait!
